This Privacy Policy explains how Shrew ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Shrew iOS application and any related web services (together, the "Service"). By using Shrew, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

• Account information: your name and email address, provided by Apple or Google when you sign in. We do not receive or store your Apple or Google password.
• Business details: information you add about your business, such as your business name, logo, address, phone number, VAT number, and payment details shown on your quotes and invoices.
• Customer and job information: details you enter about your customers and jobs, including names, phone numbers, email addresses, addresses, job descriptions, line items, prices, and photos.
• Quotes, invoices, and payment records: the documents you create and their status, such as sent, accepted, paid, or overdue.
• Usage data: how you interact with the app, such as features used and session length, collected to improve the Service.
• Device information: device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including creating, sending, and storing your quotes and invoices and generating PDFs.
• Create and manage your account, including sign-in on web or additional devices.
• Process card payments from your customers through our payment provider, Stripe.
• Provide AI features, such as Create with AI and Improve with AI, when you choose to use them.
• Send you emails about Shrew news, tips, and offers, but only if you opt in. You can opt out at any time in the app or by using the unsubscribe link in any email.
• Improve, personalize, and expand the Service.
• Communicate with you, including for support and important updates about your account.
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse.

4. Payments

Card payments made through Shrew are processed by Stripe, Inc. When your customer pays an invoice, their card details are entered directly into Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We receive confirmation of the payment, such as the amount, date, and payment method, so we can mark the invoice as paid. Stripe's use of personal information is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.

5. AI Features

AI features such as Create with AI and Improve with AI currently run entirely on your device. The text you enter is not sent to us or to any third party to generate suggestions. If this changes, we will update this policy before it does. Suggestions may contain mistakes, so please check them before you send a quote or invoice.

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Your customers: when you send a quote, invoice, or receipt, the recipient will see the business and job details it contains.
• Service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as Stripe (payments), Apple and Google (sign-in), and providers of hosting, analytics, email, and customer support, under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal authorities, if required to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, or ensure user safety.
• A successor entity, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

7. Your Customers' Information

When you add your customers' details to Shrew, you decide what information to enter and how it is used, and we process it on your behalf to provide the Service. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to share that information with us and for telling your customers how you use their information. We do not contact your customers except to deliver quotes, invoices, receipts, payment pages, and reminders that you ask us to send.

8. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Some records, such as invoices and payment records, may be kept for longer where the law requires it, for example for tax and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. If you are in the UK, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

10. Children's Privacy

Shrew is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "last updated" date above, and, where appropriate, through the app or by email.
